The aims and objectives of the Spirit of Cordoba charity are to:

• Encourage Muslims as individuals and communities to participate in the wider community
• Provide a comprehensive training service to organisations with a view to increasing their understanding of Muslims and Islam
• Foster collaboration between Muslims and other communities
• Challege the prejudices formed about the Muslim community and the Islamic faith
• Encourage Muslims to understand their responsibilities and to reflect on the effects their actions may have on non-Muslims and the wider community
• Raise awareness and improve understanding of Muslim history, culture and achievements
• Work more closely with media organisations to ensure that reporting of events concerning Islam is fair, accurate and unbiased
• Promote and celebrate historical and current relations between Islam/Muslims and other faiths, in particular Christianity and Judaism.
• Facilitating the involvement and co-operation of Muslim individuals and organisations in other projects of relevance
